New Smyrna Beach offers two of the most beautiful parks in the area.  Both capture the natural Florida beauty that visitors and residents have come to love.  Visit the parks and you will forget about the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world.

The Canaveral National Seashore

The Canaveral National Seashore is located on the south end of New Smyrna Beach.  It is one of 10 National Seashores in the United States.   The Canaveral National Seashore offers 57,000 acres of pristine, undeveloped beach, dunes, and lagoon offering sanctuary to an abundant blend of plants and animals.

Enjoy an easy stroll through century-old live oaks to the once thriving Eldora village.  The Eldora State House, built in 1913, is the last remaining home from the Eldora community that was established in 1876.  Step back in time and experience the Eldora House for yourself.

Also located at New Smyrna’s Canaveral National Seashore is the historic shell mound.  The foundation of the main house and the caretaker’s house the mound is 13 feet high and is comprised of over 90% quahog clam shells left as refuse by the Timucua Indians.
